<div itemprop="description">Loved husband of Jessie Iwasiw and treasured son of Anna Iwasiw of Toronto and the late William Iwasiw, Ed was a proud and devoted father to Greg Iwasiw (Esmeralda) and Amanda Magda (Brian) who will miss him deeply. He was an exceptionally loved grandfather of five grandchildren: Manon, Louis and Max Iwasiw, Emily and Harry Magda. Ed was a valued companion and brother to Tom Iwasiw (Maryanne) a great friend and uncle to Mark, Jeffrey and Christina Iwasiw. Ed was an involved and loving family man, caring for those near to him and keeping their welfare always at the front of his mind. He treated and celebrated them royally &ndash; never forgetting a birthday or an anniversary. Ed was a loyal friend to many, especially Bill Frankish; they shared many golf outings and family times. Ed also was an accomplished athlete. He played hockey, baseball and football when younger and then transformed his competitive spirit into racquetball and golf. He enjoyed playing with his regular foursomes at Pointe West. In later years he took up fishing, enjoying yearly fly - in fishing trips to Snowshoe Lake in Northern Ontario. He also followed sports with a rare depth of knowledge. Ed opened a dental practice in South Windsor in 1969 and proved to be a skilled and supportive dentist, always putting his patients first. He valued the help of his assistants and acknowledged particularly Nancy Beneteau and Fran Turnbull as being with him the longest. He was still in practice at the time of his death. His office was near Budimir Library and he was one of their most faithful customers. It is with deep sadness that his family and friends mourn him. According to his wishes there will be a private service. If so desired gifts in Ed&rsquo;s memory could be made to the Windsor Public Library or Community Living Mississauga, www.clmiss.ca. Arrangements entrusted to Marcotte Funeral Home (519-735-2830). On line condolences may be left at www.marcottetecumseh.ca</div>
