MAHEUX, Sharon Ann (Dupuis)
73 years.
Passed away peacefully on December 19th, 2015, surrounded by her family. Loving wife of Ron Maheux (1998). Cherished mother to Rhonda (2008), Cary (Sue) Maheux & Dr. Derek (Michelle) Maheux. Beloved Granny to Abbey, Evan, Patrick, Morgan & Lachlan. Sister to Gary (Susan) Dupuis & Charmaine (Michael) Frezell. Sister-in Law to the late Gertrude (Spratt) & Bud Herrett, Marg & the late Earl Maheux, Teddy & Velma Maheux. Loved by many nieces, nephews & God children. Sharon made every day count & never complained about the many challenges that life brought her. Diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago, she did not give up. Major surgery took her voice, but not her will to live & enjoy life. Her courage allowed her to continue to watch her grandchildren grow & she was proud of what she saw. Sharon loved to shop, decorate & spend time with her friends. She enjoyed quiet times & relished family functions. She experienced many of life's joys with a great group of friends including her Red Hat Ladies. Words cannot express our thanks for the outpouring of love & support for Sharon from her closest friends during her final days- it was inspiring. She was blessed to have so many wonderful people in her life. Thank you to Dr. Nichols (London), Dr. Bergeron, Dr. J. Warwaruk, Dr. Ruisi & the 4 West nurses at Met Hospital for your outstanding care and compassion. Thank you to the wonderful Hospice of Windsor for providing a peaceful place for Sharon to spend her final days with dignity. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Hospice of Windsor (Inc). Visitation will be held at Marcotte Funeral Home, 12105 Tecumseh Rd. E., Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Tuesday from 1-5 and 6-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at St. John Vianney Parish from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Committal prayers to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
